I never thought i will end up cleaning homes..let alone running a cleaning company. I have always been this IT savvy dude with special interests in life solutions, from gadgets to the next fine wine!..Yeah i was (and still am) that dude. The idea of cleaning came as a ‘phase filler’, while still involved with a telecoms firm i co-founded and was stuck trying to resolve some operational issues. I remember that day very well sometime back in May 2006. While driving around town with my cousin ( on a working visit from South Africa) admiring the beautiful landscape that is Abuja; and seeing so many huge buildings (completed and ongoing) sprouting all over the city, popped that golden question ‘who is going to clean and maintain these buildings’? i answered ‘i don’t know’...well i never looked back!
GreenEnviro was birth as an integrated cleaning and maintenance company to provide stress-free cleaning solutions for the ubiquitous or modern man or woman of style that seek that balance between getting things done right (quality) and on time too! (convenience), because we realise to take care of the country; we must first take care of ourselves! If real beauty comes from ‘within’, it then goes to say real clean is personified by the individual’s ability to communicate to the outside what is on the inside...simply put there’s a correlation between a clean or neatly attired man or woman and his/her living environment. While there may be some exceptions to the rule (especially in our parts), it is safe to say;
‘A clean person makes a clean environment, a clean environment makes a clean country, a clean country is a HAPPY country’.
We got our first project in July 2007 cleaning the NSE (Nigerian Society of Engineers) building in Abuja. Needless to say, we had 12 hours to clean a 6 storey building. Working through the night..phew!..we barely just made it and the building was commissioned by 9am the following morning by the immediate past president of Nigeria, Chief Olusegun Obasanjo. The experience was valuable, as we learnt to deal with the pressures of a time conscious customer.
Since then, we have grown into a service provider of choice and have undertaken various projects from full cleaning services both residential and commercial to specialized services like carpet/rug cleaning, window cleaning, fumigation & pest control services, landscaping & garden care services to handy man services. The “art of clean” is our brand campaign to bring qualitative cleaning services to every doorstep and create a sustainable cleaning culture among our people through our bouquet of customized or ‘localized’ cleaning solutions that fit a wide variety of businesses and homes.
Throughout this series, we are going to pay attention to our health especially our environmental health, using it as a catalyst to foster a healthy living
